CJM08-GH : Equipe Endeavour MKII - Goodwood 1961

Classic Jaguar Miniatures have made this Jaguar MKII model of Tommy Sopwith's Equipe Endeavour Team, driven by Graham Hill at Goodwood in 1961. The Sopwith MKII's were always ordered from Jaguar Cars in Indigo Blue with a Red interior, and Silver painted wire wheels. All Tommy's cars had the number 400 in the registration plate which was his lucky number, this model is JAG 400 which was the sister car to VCD 400. The cars could be told apart during the race by the plain White stripe around the radiator grille of JAG 400, whilst VCD 400 had a checked stripe design. Graham Hill drove this Equipe Endeavour MKII Jaguar for the 1961 season along with Mike Parkes in the sister car, the Goodwood race was a wet race and Hill finished a close second to Parkes.
The model has been researched to be accurate against the car that raced that day in 1961 at Goodwood, it has the correct re-rooted racing exhaust, BRDC badge in front of the radiator grille, correct bungee strap to secure the bonnet, left and right handed wire wheel spinners, front bucket seats, internal starter solenoid and the front and rear bumper over-riders removed.
